To ensure your trip is as smooth as possible, this guide covers everything you need to know, from wristband collection and cashless payments to venue locations and safety.

 

Quick Checklist:

● Screenshot your Ticket: Mobile signal can be unreliable at peak times. Save your QR code to your camera roll so you can open it offline.

● Purchase Travel Insurance (Highly Recommended).

● Top-up your Cashless Wristband online to skip queues.

● Download the Bolt app for island travel.

Official Shuttles: 

Shuttles depart from Ta’ Qali Concert Area at 12:00AM with the last shuttle departing at 02:00AM across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.     

You will be able to choose between 2 drop off points - St Julian’s (Spinola Bay) or St. Paul’s Bay (Bugibba Bus Terminal). Please note that shuttles are only 1 way, from the festival ground to either of the 2 locations mentioned above.

CASHLESS FESTIVAL (RFID)

Freedom Street Europe 2026 a 100% Cashless Festival. 

Your wristband is your digital wallet for all food and drinks.


How to Use:

  • Top-Up Online: Avoid queues by topping up before you fly at: LINK HERE
  • Top-Up Onsite: Stations are available at all venues (Card Only – No Cash accepted). 
  • Refunds: All unused credit can be claimed back and refunded after the festival till 30 September 2026. 

  • Activation Fee: €2 RFID Activation Fees apply


Important Notes:

  • A minimum top-up of €15 applies.
  • Wristbands are water-resistant and secure for swimming. Please do not remove your wristband. Any torn, removed or lost wristbands will NOT be replaced.

BOAT PARTIES

Departure Info

Location: Sliema Ferries (Tigne Seafront) opposite Noodle Box.

Arrival Time: Please arrive 45 minutes before departure. The boat leaves strictly on schedule. 


Entry Requirements

Ticket: Have your separate Boat Party ticket ready to scan (Phone or Print).
Festival Wristband: You must also wear your main festival wristband to board. 


HEALTH, SAFETY & WELFARE

Medical & First Aid

First Aid Teams: Located at all sites.

Nearest Hospital: Mater Dei Hospital, Msida (20-30 mins from venues). 

Insurance: We highly recommend fully comprehensive travel insurance. UK citizens should carry their GHIC card. 

Sun & Heat Safety

Sunscreen: Pump-spray or lotion sunscreen is allowed (Max 100ml). Aerosol cans (pressurised sprays) are often prohibited for safety reasons.

Hydration: Free water refill points are available at all venues. Please stay hydrated, especially if consuming alcohol in the sun.


The Chat Bar (Welfare) Need a timeout? Look for the Chat Bar Crew in vibrant orange uniforms. Staffed by trained support workers, this is a safe space to discuss emotional difficulties or simply get some quiet time.

Entry Conditions By entering, you consent to a full search (bag check and pat-down). Refusal to be searched will result in denied entry. 


Photography Notice Filming and photography for promotional use will take place during the event. Entry constitutes consent to be filmed.

FAQs

Yes, re-entry is allowed provided your wristband is intact (Policy may vary by specific venue, check signage). 

Yes, if it is in original packaging with a prescription or doctor’s note.

There are no public lockers at the venues. Please stick to the A4 bag limit and travel light. 


Small portable power banks are allowed and encouraged. Large battery packs are not. 

Visit the Box Office on-site for Lost & Found. 

Tap water in Malta is generally safe but has a high mineral content (salty taste). We recommend drinking bottled water, which is available at all bars.

 Professional cameras (DSLRs) are banned, but small action cameras (GoPros) are permitted without extensive extendable poles/selfie sticks
